Visit www.corporealmusic.net for more information about the band FOR ALL WHO HAVE QUESTIONS, READ THIS Yes, we are the band who played at E3 2007. Our Band name is Corporeal www.myspace.com www.corporealmusic.net Our CD is available at http For copywrite reasons, it does not contain the halo theme – it is all original showcasing the same talent as seen in the video :) We do not currently have tabs or sheet music for any of the parts. sorry. We did not use purchased sheet music. the parts were all transcribed by Dave VerLee. We don’t have rights to distribute our transcription. The choir in the beginning is played by the guitar using a guitar synth pick up (Roland GK-2a) and a synth module (Roland GR-33). We are also using electric drums to trigger other percussion sounds, timpani, gong, etc. …and for those of you who still think we’re faking, we played at E3 2007. We’re not in High school anymore. We were seniors in the talent show video. Now we are all in colleges. Corporeal is: Dave VerLee on guitar (Parker Nitefly, digitech gnx4, Roland GR-33) Dave Bedell on drums (Tama Starclassic, sabian, zildjian, wuhan, roland td-12 drum module) Hanah Stuart on Violin (yamaha sv120, digitech gnx3) Robb Leu on bass (Warwick Fortress, swr amps) Marty Gierczyk is our vocalist, who did not appear in this video but was on keyboard at E3. download the mp3 at www.corporealmusic.net or at www.corporealmusic.net

Loreena McKennitt- All Souls Night

Another nice song from Loreena McKennitt, enjoy. Lyrics: Bonfires dot the rolling hillsides. Figures dance around and around to drums that pulse out echoes of darkness; moving to the pagan sound. Somewhere in a hidden memory images float before my eyes of fragrant nights of straw and of bonfires, dancing till the next sunrise. I can see the lights in the distance trembling in the dark cloak of night. Candles and lanterns are dancing, dancing a waltz on all souls night. Figures of cornstalks bend in the shadows held up tall as the flames leap high. The Green Knight holds the holly bush to mark where the old year passes by. Bonfires dot the rolling hillsides. Figures dance around and around to drums that pulse out echoes of darkness; moving to the pagan sound. Standing on the bridge that crosses the river that goes out to the sea. The wind is full of a thousand voices; they pass by the bridge and me.

Jaska from Children of Bodom

Jaska Raatikainen from Children of Bodom plays drums and talks in finnish about playing drums Translation: At first he plays a very simple double-bass beat. “I started playing when I was at sixth grade, actually when I came into a new school and there were drums in a classroom. There I got the spark and it was thirteen years ago.” “I guess Metallica’s drummer was one of my influences back then and of course then came some heavier stuff like Sepultura etc.” (Plays fast double-bass beat) “As you can see, the kick comes from very low position of the pedal, not from the top where you have to have longer movement for the hit.” “Actually I had double pedals before I had my own drumset and I bought the pedals with money gained from my confirmation. I had to have pedals whenever I went somewhere to practise; they were easy to carry along. After since I’ve played double pedals. I have never played with two bassdrums, it has always been double pedals.” “You’ll find ideas by trying to listen to many different music styles, different drummers, even it was pop, jazz, metal, rock, punk, whatever. You can always find something that supports your own thing.” “I am trying to practise alone two hours every day. If there’s a record coming or we are going to the studio, practise time increases and maybe I’ll play three hours alone and about the same time with the band.” “I wanted to become a metal drummer and metal is the thing where I can express myself most of all. I also listen to jazz

Cobus – Breaking Benjamin – The Diary of Jane (Drum Cover)

Laus Deo Semper. www.cobuspotgieter.com http This is a drum cover (or remix) of Breaking Benjamin’s AWESOME song, The Diary of Jane. This was SOOOO much fun to do, i absolutely love the band and this is one of my favorites from Phobia. Was also really cool to be able to use the electronic pads to trigger a closed hihat sound while i could do the doublebass groove on the bottom. Fun fun fun :) Nice and heavy aswell.. contrary to popular belief, i LOVE heavy stuff. I have to emphasize, I know calling this a “cover” is wrong, seeing as I only PARTLY stayed true to the song’s drums (or lack thereof), through the WHOLE song i play some variations of the beats, phrasing and fills, since 99% of what i play is improvised. Even though i have done my fair share of session and studio drumming, that has little to zero effect on these video’s, I kind of see them as live performances. I’m NOT aiming to be accurate to the original drums, I’m just aiming to enjoy myself. And I thoroughly succeeded in doing that, might I add :) Breaking Benjamin – The Diary of Jane from the 2006 release “Phobia” is the copyrighted property of it’s owner(s). (External) Drums by Cobus Potgieter. For any and all info you might need (equipment, sponsorships, recording process, updates) please visit www.cobuspotgieter.com and have a look around.

Explosion – An improvised synth solo

MooT BooXLe performing on the Synthesizers.com modular analogue synthesizer. This is not a perfect performance, as it was improvised in one go. Also functioning in this video are the Moogerfooger CP-251, the Roland Space Echo, and Reason drums. I was controlling the filter cutoff with a CV pedal. REMIX available NOW at www.myspace.com/mootbooxle !! Also, I wasn’t looking at the camera, in case you were wondering. I was watching computer monitors, which were showing visual feedback on what I was playing. Thanks for watching!!
